绿色催化专家智库由中国科学院院士何鸣元先生等58位两院院士、80多位“长江学者”特聘教授和“国家杰青”等共同发起，在甘肃省人民政府和工信部和科技部支持下，于2016年2月在北京成立。作为非营利性的民间智库，汇聚了两院院士、“长江学者”“国家杰青”等专家和比利时、瑞典、俄罗斯与新加坡等国家院士及著名专家。
智库自成立以来，在甘肃、青海、陕西、上海和广东等地开展了系列活动。举办“兰州自主创新论坛”和“麦积山论坛”高端年会；针对战略新兴产业发展重大或热点问题开展院士行或举办专题研讨会；汇集院士专家的研究报告和研究成果，编辑出版《行业蓝皮书》；已成为绿色化学行业具有重要影响力的高端专业智库。
Jointly initiated by He Mingyuan et. al. 58 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, 80 distinguished professors of "Changjiang Scholars program" and "National Jieqing Program"，the Green Catalytic Think-Tank was established in Beijing in February 2016 with the support of the People's Government of Gansu Province and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology. As a non-profit private think tank, it has become a high-end professional think tank with important influence in green chemistry industry highlighted by bringingtogether the academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, experts of "Changjiang Scholars" and "National Jieqing scholars", as well as academicians and famous experts from Belgium, Sweden, Russia and Singapore carryingout a series of activities in Gansu, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Shanghaiand Gangdong since its establishment, hosting the high-level annual conferences of "Lanzhou Independent Innovation Forum" and "Maijishan Forum" and carried out seminars on major or hot issues in the development of strategic emerging industries,collecting the research reports and research results of the academicians and experts, editing and publishing the "Blue Book of the Industry".
