绿色催化专家智库是由62位两院院士和80多位长江学者及杰青组成的非营利性民间专业智库，何鸣元院士担任理事长。自2016年在兰州注册成立以来，立足西部资源禀赋、环境和工业基础，针对绿色碳科学、清洁能源和生态环境等领域的技术难题和热点问题，组织院士专家开展调研交流和协同创新，在保护生态环境的同时，助力过程制造业绿色变革，推动西部资源的高值利用和绿色可持续发展。
智库在甘肃、青海、陕西、上海、江苏和广东等地举办“兰州自主创新论坛”和“麦积山论坛”等系列高端年会、院士行和专题研讨会60多场，搭建了科学家与产业界对接交流的开放式平台，推动多学科在产业领域的交叉融合，出版《绿色化学过程制造》等行业蓝皮书，促成“盐湖提锂工艺技术”“流动化学工艺”“重组蛋白药物”等多项高技术成果转化实施，为我国绿色催化、清洁能源、合成生物、中医药和盐湖资源等科技创新做出了积极贡献。受青海和陕西政府委托，为青海锂产业、陕西煤化工等提供了规划咨询与技术支撑，是地方政府发展高科技产业倚重、信赖的智囊机构，已成为在国际国内具有重要影响力的高端专业智库。
Think tanks have held more than 60 high-end annual meetings, academicians' visits, and special seminars such as the "Lanzhou Independent Innovation Forum" and the "Maijishan Forum" in Gansu, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Guangdong, etc., providing an open platform for scientists to interact with the industry, promoting interdisciplinary integration in the industrial field, publishing industry blueprints such as "Green Chemical Process Manufacturing", facilitating the implementation of high-tech achievements such as "Lithium Extraction Technology from Salt Lakes", "Fluidized Chemical Process", and "Recombinant Protein Drugs", and making positive contributions to China's technological innovation in green catalysis, clean energy, synthetic biology, traditional Chinese medicine, and salt lake resources. Commissioned by the governments of Qinghai and Shaanxi, we have provided planning consultation and technical support for the lithium industry in Qinghai and the coal chemical industry in Shaanxi. We are a trusted think tank relied upon by local governments for the development of high-tech industries, and have become a high-end professional think tank with significant influence both internationally and domestically.
